Musician Adie Higginson is with
Singer songwriter Heti Hope
Heti Hope: Singer Songwriter and Composer writes her songs at the piano or playing the guitar. Pondering on what meets her in life, what comes to her from past experiences or what is going on around her, Heti formulates what she hopes can become Universal songs. She searchers for concepts to connect beyond our seeming differences, recognising she hopes, affirmatives from deep with in each of us on love and living.
Heti says that the music seems to find it’s own way to accompany her thoughts and words, though not always obvious. They come with strong rhythmic patterns and here and there, melodic lines, taking unexpected tangents.
Heti works closely with her husband and musician Adie Higginson, enjoying the weaving of his musical ideas around her lyrics, as well as his capacity to pick up and elaborate on her sometimes quirky passages and rhythms.
These unique songs battle against being, innately Folk derived, drawing on a wide selection of genre; Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Hip Hop, Classical, Contemporary Pop, you name it, Heti has grown up listening to not only her parents musical influences before the 60s, but her friends from over many years and her own choice of music, up to the present day.
Heti is hopeful that through playing and performing her original songs, she is finding an opening to receive and share healthy World-wide understanding of our methods for living and how to bring deep contentment of Spirit, to the fore.
For Sweet Dreamers, Creatives, Guardians of the Earth,
Treading with awareness on Nature’s path
Hear Heti Hope on keys, singing poetic words,
as if, for Leonard Cohen, Marley, Nina Simone.
Too many to name, in space and time gone
Adventuring with Humanity for a World to come.
At present we are looking for a new drummer to fill the shoes of Sara Fredrickson. We loved working with Sara and it was a, sad for me, mutual parting. After our tour, it became evident that the music was growing and moving in to a more gentle groove. Sara is a drummer whose foundation is based in Metal, Rock, which she loves as do I, but not for what I produce which is almost not my choice. We are moving even more into alternative jazz , folk, soul grooves, with pretty slow beats, sinking more and more into a dreamy space as I write new songs for their next album. We’ll see Sara around for sure and keep enjoying her dynamic creative garden and maze building!
